Civil Engineering Graduate – Training Position

About the role

As a Civil Engineering‑in‑Training you will support the planning, design and delivery of municipal infrastructure projects such as roadways, water distribution, sanitary sewers and storm‑water facilities. Working alongside senior engineers you will gain hands‑on experience across the full project lifecycle, from concept through construction.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, plans, profiles and construction documents using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Perform hydraulic, storm‑water, grading and earthwork calculations to support design.
• Assist in the preparation of engineering reports, technical memoranda and permit applications.
• Collaborate with project managers, clients, contractors and senior engineers to advance projects.
• Conduct field reviews and site inspections, documenting progress, observations and deficiencies.
• Witness and record quality‑assurance testing such as soil compaction and concrete testing.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Strong written and spoken English; French is an asset.

Required skills

• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Competence in Microsoft Office applications.
• Familiarity with hydraulic and storm‑water modeling software (asset).
