Architectural Construction Manager

About the role
The Architectural Construction Manager will lead the delivery, coordination, and oversight of architectural works on the Eglinton Crosstown West Extension, a major rail transit project spanning Toronto and Mississauga. Reporting to Trillium Rail Partners, you will ensure that stations, ancillary facilities, and public spaces are built safely, on schedule, and to design intent.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and manage architectural construction activities across stations, including interior and exterior finishes, ceilings, wall systems, flooring, glazing, roofing, waterproofing, wayfinding, and public realm elements.
- Oversee day‑to‑day field operations, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and safety standards.
- Coordinate architectural work with civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, systems, and vertical transportation scopes.
- Monitor productivity, construction sequencing, and milestone achievement across multiple work fronts.
- Review and approve shop drawings, RFIs, mock‑ups, samples, and technical submittals.
- Champion safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, including building codes, accessibility, and fire/life‑safety requirements.
Required profile
- Proven experience managing architectural construction on large‑scale infrastructure or rail transit projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and finishes for stations and public spaces.
- Ability to work in a design‑build / P3 environment and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills to address constructability issues and schedule impacts.
