Analyst – Trading Credit (Capital Markets)

About the role

Join CIBC Capital Markets as an Analyst in the Trading Credit Corporate Banking team. You will support senior relationship managers in managing credit relationships and trading credit exposure across a wide range of market products.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with Global Markets marketers, traders, and risk partners.
• Respond to trading floor credit facility requests and assist with end‑to‑end credit onboarding.
• Conduct due‑diligence meetings, negotiate trading documentation (ISDA/CSA, GMRA, GMSLA) and manage credit amendments.
• Perform financial statement reviews, data analysis and exposure assessments to evaluate counterparty credit risk.
• Monitor credit quality, stay current on industry trends and economic developments, and recommend actions within risk appetite.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively across business lines and communicate findings clearly.
• Interest in financial institutions, derivatives, securities financing and trade finance.

Required skills

• Familiarity with trading documentation such as ISDA, CSA, GMRA, GMSLA.
• Experience reviewing financial statements and conducting credit risk analysis.
