About the role
We are seeking an Administrative Assistant to support daily office operations in a fast‑paced retail and wholesale environment. The role involves coordinating information flow, handling correspondence, and providing comprehensive support to senior management and staff.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with staff consultation and grievance procedures.
- Coordinate the flow of information within the team.
- Open, distribute mail and other materials.
- Plan and organize daily operations and establish office procedures.
- Schedule and confirm appointments, manage contracts, and answer telephone calls and electronic enquiries.
- Advise senior management and respond to employee questions and complaints.
- Order office supplies, maintain inventory, and oversee payroll administration.
- Arrange travel itineraries, make reservations, and greet visitors.
- Set up and maintain manual and computerized filing systems.
- Type, proofread correspondence and documents, conduct research, and perform data entry.
- Provide customer service and support marketing communications.
- Maintain digital databases and perform basic bookkeeping tasks.
Required profile
- College, CEGEP or comparable diploma (1‑2 year program).
- 1 to less than 2 years of relevant administrative experience.
- Ability to work onsite in a retail/wholesale setting with no remote option.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent oral and written communication, multitasking, and judgment.
