About the role
The Accreditation and Quality Improvement Officer supports Postgraduate Medical Education (PGME) accreditation and quality improvement initiatives. Reporting to the Director of Administration and Operations, Medical Education, the role works closely with the Associate Dean, PGME, the Assistant Dean, Accreditation, and other academic and administrative leaders.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain expert knowledge of accreditation standards and interpret them for Faculty stakeholders.
- Build and sustain collaborative relationships with accreditation bodies such as the RCPSC, CFPC, and CMQ.
- Organize and facilitate accreditation committee activities, including data collection, meeting coordination, and outcome communication.
- Manage the preparation, review, and submission of accreditation reports, including the CanAMS Institutional and Program questionnaires.
- Collaborate with academic and administrative leaders to produce high‑quality self‑study and progress reports.
- Identify potential compliance risks, verify report completeness, and proofread submissions.
Required profile
- Demonstrated expertise in accreditation standards for medical education.
- Strong project‑management and organizational abilities.
- Experience working with accreditation agencies and physician organizations.
- Excellent communication skills for interfacing with diverse stakeholders.
