About the role
The Ingram School of Nursing at McGill University is seeking six invigilators to support upcoming nursing examinations. The role involves setting up exam rooms, managing electronic and paper exam materials, and ensuring a smooth, compliant testing environment for students.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare the examination room according to specific requirements, checking that all equipment and facilities function correctly.
- Administer the delivery of electronic and paper exams, including scantrons, and manage related documentation.
- Verify student sign‑in and sign‑out, collect and secure mobile devices, and escort students to washrooms as needed.
- Address student queries, directing them to IT support, the Exam Administrator, or the professor.
- Monitor compliance with university exam regulations and report any irregular behavior.
- Collect all exam materials at the end of the session, organize them alphabetically, and ensure proper hand‑over to the professor or Exam Administrator.
Required profile
- Availability on the scheduled exam dates (October 16 and October 21).
- Ability to work on‑site in a university setting.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Professional demeanor when interacting with students and faculty.
Required skills
- Basic proficiency with electronic exam platforms and paper‑based testing materials.
- Capability to set up and troubleshoot classroom equipment.
