About the role

PointClickCare, a health technology company serving over 30,000 provider organizations, is looking for an Accounts Receivable Escalations Analyst in Mississauga. Reporting to the Accounts Receivable Escalation Manager, the analyst prepares demand letters, termination letters and final collection notices, compiles supporting documents and supports contact with overdue accounts in a portfolio of high-volume, low-dollar strategic customers. The role requires strong communication skills, cross-functional collaboration and a proactive, detail-oriented approach.

Key responsibilities

  • Prepare demand letters, termination letters and final collection notices for Senior Care, QuickMar, Pharmacy and other business streams.
  • Analyze customer scenarios and investigate billing issues through research and regular reconciliation.
  • Maintain accurate customer files with correspondence and report status to the AR Escalations Manager.
  • Help develop payment plans and solutions, and manage internal and external communications around collections.
  • Communicate with customers about collections issues, actions, payment inquiries and invoicing.
  • Prepare monthly account breakdowns and analysis, and compile invoice copies, credits and unapplied payment details.
  • Reconcile accounts, unapplied credit balances and credit notes as assigned.
  • Coordinate monthly pre-authorized payments with customers and the Payments team.
  • Take part in conference calls with customers and partners on recovery of past-due invoices.
  • Support onboarding of new team members, including co-op assignments, and complete ad hoc tasks assigned by management.

Required profile

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or 3+ years of experience processing accounts receivable.
  • Prior finance experience; accounts receivable experience preferred.
  • Ability to build relationships, work proactively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and coach within a diverse, business-to-business team.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy in reconciliations, and sound analytical, planning and prioritization skills.
  • Diplomatic, negotiation and conflict-resolution skills for late-payment discussions.
  • High moral judgment when handling confidential information and monetary transactions.

Required skills

  • Excellent computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, including discussing disputes and deductions with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Working understanding of the US health care system is a benefit.

Hybrid roles expect the candidate to live within commuting distance of the office, which includes weekly or bi-weekly team events. Remote roles may require occasional travel to the Mississauga and/or Salt Lake City offices for onboarding, team events and meetings.
