Accountant, U.S. Corporate Tax

About the role

Join MNP’s U.S. Corporate Tax team as an Accountant and help deliver customized tax strategies for a diverse client base. You will work within a dynamic regulatory environment, providing advisory support that minimizes tax liability and addresses cross‑border needs.

Key responsibilities

• Develop technical expertise in corporate income tax compliance, tax accounting, research and writing.
• Set up and manage files for new clients and newly incorporated businesses, handling multiple engagements simultaneously.
• Research tax issues, analyze financial and tax data, and assess implications.
• Review, investigate, and correct discrepancies in financial entries, documents and reports.
• Establish charts of accounts, compute taxes owed, and prepare tax returns for various entity types.
• Prepare correspondence, technical reports, client summaries and presentations.
• Collaborate with engagement teams and build strong client relationships.
• Contribute ideas to improve work processes and use MNP internal programs and systems.
• Maintain flexibility to travel as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in commerce or business administration (accounting or finance major preferred).
• Working towards U.S. CPA qualification or IRS Enrolled Agent designation.
• Previous tax or accounting office experience is an asset.
• Exposure to accounting and tax software preferred.
