Accountant – Hybrid Contract (2 months)

About the role

This contract position supports a data‑intensive team at a leading Canadian bank. Working hybrid in Toronto, you will validate transfer forms, process asset movements and ensure compliance in a high‑risk environment.

Key responsibilities

• Validate transfer forms, including complex and estate‑related transactions.
• Process asset movements while maintaining accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Conduct detailed documentation reviews to support timely transfers.
• Interact with internal and external stakeholders.
• Participate in daily briefings (30‑5 minutes).

Required profile

• 2–4 years of accounting or documentation‑review experience.
• Post‑secondary education in finance or a related field.
• Experience in a compliance‑heavy, fast‑paced environment.
• Ability to handle sensitive customer data and occasional overtime.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel, including macros and data validation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience using Confluence and SharePoint.
