Accountant – Finance Team (Toronto)

About the role

Baka Pozd Business Consultancy is looking for a detail‑oriented Accountant to join its finance team in Toronto. The role focuses on maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and supporting the company’s financial operations.

Key responsibilities

• Record and maintain daily financial transactions in line with accounting standards.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
• Prepare invoices, payment vouchers, receipts, and journal entries.
• Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash‑flow transactions.
• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Maintain general ledger accounts and ensure accurate financial records.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
• Assist with tax documentation, audit preparation, and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate with internal departments and external auditors on financial matters.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
• Familiarity with Canadian accounting practices and tax regulations is an advantage.
• Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem‑solving abilities.
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
