Structural Project Manager

About the role

As a Project Manager in Sense Engineering’s growing Calgary Structural Engineering team, you will lead the delivery of structural engineering solutions for new and existing institutional, commercial and residential buildings, from concept through construction.

Key responsibilities

• Design and analyze structures for new construction, renovation, restoration and rehabilitation projects.
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, reports, specifications and construction documents.
• Manage project timelines, budgets and deliverables to ensure successful project delivery.
• Conduct site reviews, contract administration inspections and provide guidance during construction.
• Represent Sense Engineering at client meetings and networking functions, building strong relationships with clients, contractors and consultants.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a structural engineering firm, including work on institutional, commercial and residential projects.
• Registration or active pursuit of registration with APEGA.
• Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation.

Required skills

• Proficiency with structural design software such as S‑Frame, ETABS and spSlab.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD or Revit for drafting and modeling.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook).
