Journeyperson & Apprentice Pipefitters

About the role

Sideworx Connect is looking for experienced Journeyperson and Apprentice Pipefitters to support oil and gas projects, turnarounds and shutdowns across Alberta. Candidates must have at least three years of experience in facility or pipeline construction, maintenance, or turn‑around work.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble, install and maintain piping systems for oil and gas operations.
• Read and interpret blueprints, specifications and engineering drawings.
• Perform inspections, testing and repairs on piping systems.
• Wear required PPE and follow health‑ and safety policies at all times.

Required profile

• Ability to stand for long periods, climb heights over 10 ft, crouch and lift up to 50 lb regularly.
• Pass a pre‑employment drug and alcohol test.
• Work 12‑hour rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays and overtime.
• Travel to job sites; living‑out allowance may apply.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s licence and reliable transportation are assets.

• Pipefitting and piping system assembly.
• Blueprint and specification interpretation.
• Piping system installation and maintenance.
• Inspection, testing and repair of piping.
• Knowledge of H2S safety procedures (H2S Alive).
