Senior Mining Consultant – Open Pit

About the role

Mining Plus is seeking an experienced Open Pit Mining Engineer to join its Canadian team as a Senior Mining Consultant. You will apply your mine planning, design, and operational expertise to a variety of surface mining projects across Canada and internationally.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to Scoping, Pre‑Feasibility and Feasibility Studies.
• Develop and review open‑pit mine designs, schedules, and detailed mine plans.
• Conduct mine planning, optimization, and technical due‑diligence projects.
• Prepare and review NI 43‑101 Technical Reports and equivalent international reports.
• Manage technical deliverables, budgets, and timelines in coordination with clients and multidisciplinary teams.
• Provide technical oversight, peer review, and guidance throughout project delivery.

Required profile

• 8+ years of mining experience with at least 5 years in operational open‑pit mining.
• Degree in Mining Engineering, Mineral Engineering or related field and a professional P.Eng. designation.
• Proven experience delivering Scoping, PFS, FS, and NI 43‑101 reports.
• Strong client relationship and stakeholder management abilities.

• NI 43‑101 Technical Report preparation.
• Mine economics, cost modelling and technical assessments.
• Project management of multidisciplinary mining projects.
