Science & Research Coordinators – Natural Resources

About the role
The Ministry of Natural Resources is hiring four Coordinators for its Science and Research Branch. You will lead multidisciplinary teams that conduct aquatic, forest and wildlife research and monitoring, translating scientific findings into actionable resource‑management decisions across Ontario.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate science‑based programs, ensuring alignment with provincial priorities.
- Provide guidance, coaching and direction to professional and technical staff.
- Manage program budgets, financial reporting and resource allocation.
- Foster collaboration with internal ministries, external partners, clients and stakeholders.
- Represent the branch at meetings, workshops and occasional field activities, including travel to remote sites.
Required profile
- Strong leadership and interpersonal abilities.
- Demonstrated experience in scientific research or monitoring related to natural resources.
- Commitment to evidence‑based decision‑making and collaborative problem solving.
- Willingness to travel occasionally and work in outdoor or adverse weather conditions when required.
