Room Attendant – Hotel Housekeeping

About the role

Join a friendly team at the Hampton Inn & Suites Kelowna Airport where you will ensure guest rooms and public areas are clean, comfortable, and ready for occupancy. This full‑time position offers a dynamic work environment with opportunities to develop hospitality skills.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and service guest rooms within established time limits, typically 14 rooms per shift.
• Maintain hotel cleaning standards, report maintenance issues, and handle lost‑and‑found items accurately.
• Keep cleaning tools, carts, and supplies organized and report any deficiencies.
• Assist guests by welcoming them, answering questions, and directing them to hotel facilities.
• Perform routine deep‑cleaning tasks, property walks, and parking‑lot clean‑ups as assigned.
• Support other departments when needed and participate in cross‑training at sister properties.

Required profile

• Positive attitude with strong communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent time‑management and the capacity to work under pressure.
• Reliability in arriving at least 10 minutes before shift start.

Required skills

• Knowledge of cleaning systems and proper chemical handling.
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) for abrasive cleaning tasks.
