Restaurant General Manager

About the role

As General Manager of our Burlington location, you will own every aspect of the restaurant, leading a strong team, delivering a premium guest experience, and driving financial success.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day restaurant operations, ensuring smooth table service and high standards in guest experience, product quality, and efficiency.
• Hire, train, coach, and motivate staff; manage onboarding, scheduling, performance reviews, and development.
• Manage inventory, supplies, and ordering with strong controls over waste and shrink.
• Own financial performance, including sales, food cost, and labour.
• Respond to guest feedback, resolve concerns, and drive guest loyalty.
• Partner with head office and marketing on local promotions and campaigns.
• Uphold food safety, health, and workplace safety standards.
• Support special projects across the broader Demetres organization.

Required profile

• 3+ years of management or supervisory experience in hospitality or food service, preferably full‑service restaurant.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with a track record of building and motivating diverse teams.
• Passion for hospitality and commitment to premium guest experiences.
• Solid financial and operational acumen, comfortable owning inventory, food cost, and labour.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving abilities, calm under pressure.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
