Plant Manager

About the role

The Plant Manager leads safe, compliant and efficient manufacturing operations at our Mississauga facility. Reporting to the Director of Operations, you will drive production performance, continuous improvement and financial results while building high‑performing teams.

Key responsibilities

• Own daily production metrics (output, OEE, schedule adherence, first‑pass yield) and meet monthly/quarterly targets.
• Champion a safety‑first culture, ensure OHSA compliance, lead hazard assessments and incident investigations.
• Lead, coach and develop Operations Supervisors; conduct performance reviews and set clear expectations.
• Manage plant P&L elements (labor, materials, scrap, maintenance, utilities) and achieve budget and cost‑per‑unit goals.
• Drive Lean/Continuous Improvement initiatives such as 5S, value‑stream mapping, SMED, Kaizen and visual management.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering and Commercial teams to meet demand, launch new products and resolve issues.
• Maintain business continuity plans, including critical spares, contingency staffing and supplier risk management.

Required profile

• 8–12+ years in manufacturing operations with 4–6+ years in a plant/operations leadership role.
• Proven success leading supervisors and large hourly teams in a multi‑shift environment.
• Strong command of Lean/CI, maintenance reliability practices and quality systems.
• Financial acumen with experience in budgeting, cost control and KPI management.
• Excellent communication, coaching and conflict‑resolution abilities.
