Electrical Mechanic – Maintenance & Repair

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Mechanic to join our maintenance team in Mississauga. The role involves diagnosing, repairing, and testing a variety of electro‑mechanical equipment in a fast‑paced industrial environment.

Key responsibilities

• Test and observe electrical and mechanical conditions of equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair electric motors, transformers, switchgear, generators and related electro‑mechanical systems.
• Replace or recondition shafts, bearings, commutators and other components.
• Perform welding, brazing and light machining to modify or refurbish parts.
• Repair or replace faulty wiring and components in electrical switchgear.
• Conduct functional testing on repaired equipment to verify performance.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of hands‑on experience with industrial electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Ability to work in noisy, dusty environments and handle heavy loads.
• Physical stamina for standing, bending, crouching and kneeling for extended periods.
• Strong manual dexterity and ability to distinguish colour codes.
• Excellent oral and written communication, team‑oriented mindset.
