Plant Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Plant Manager to lead daily operations at a manufacturing facility near Edmonton, Alberta. The role focuses on safety, quality, productivity and aligning production with business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead plant operations with a strong emphasis on safety, quality, and productivity.
• Develop and implement operational strategies to achieve business goals.
• Manage plant budgets and monitor overall performance.
• Ensure production schedules meet quality standards and customer expectations.
• Translate sales forecasts into production plans and optimise workforce utilisation.
• Coach and develop supervisors and plant employees.
• Maintain compliance with safety, environmental and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee preventive maintenance programmes to maximise equipment reliability.
• Support capital improvement projects and drive continuous process improvements.
• Manage inventory levels and collaborate with Sales, Supply Chain and Finance.
• Prepare operational reports and analyse key performance metrics.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 7‑10 years of manufacturing leadership experience, including plant management.
• Strong leadership and team‑development abilities.
• Proven experience managing budgets, production planning and plant operations.
