About the role
Community Fire Prevention Ltd. is seeking a Journeyperson Sprinkler Fitter to join its Sprinkler Construction Division. You will install, service, and repair fire protection sprinkler systems on new construction and tenant‑improvement projects in a fast‑paced environment.
Key responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, schematics, and manuals to determine work requirements.
- Prepare material and labour take‑offs and order stock to meet daily work orders.
- Assign tasks to crew members based on competencies and oversee on‑site execution.
- Liaise with clients, provide on‑site supervision, and ensure high levels of customer service.
- Inspect work progress, equipment, and sites to verify compliance with client specifications.
- Perform in‑field commissioning, inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance of wet, dry, pre‑action, fire pump, hydrant, backflow preventer, and special‑hazard sprinkler systems.
Required profile
- Journeymen Sprinkler Fitting ticket with at least 5 years of installation and service experience.
- Strong customer‑service orientation and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Detail‑oriented, self‑motivated, resourceful and proactive in a fast‑paced setting.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Availability to work 40 hours per week with overtime and on‑call rotation as needed.
