Junior Estimator (Fire Protection)

About the role

We are seeking a motivated self‑starter to join Onyx‑Fire BC as a full‑time Coordinator/Junior Estimator. As a member of our Estimating Team you will create quotations for deficiencies and repairs identified during inspections, service calls and maintenance visits.

Key responsibilities

• Convert inspection reports into a presentable format for clients by reviewing, editing and finalising data.
• Create accurate quotations and proposal cover letters based on identified deficiencies and work scopes.
• Liaise with suppliers and vendors to obtain pricing and ensure cost‑effective solutions.
• Coordinate with Field Technicians to verify inspection details and guarantee comprehensive quotations.
• Support internal departments, collaborate with Account Managers and Operations on urgent requests, and maintain clear communication across teams.

• Computer‑savvy self‑starter able to learn new software systems quickly.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment both independently and within a team.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking and strategic problem‑solving.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

Required skills

• Computer literacy with ability to navigate various software systems (including in‑house proprietary platform).
• Proficiency in creating and presenting quotations and technical data clearly.
