Human Resources Business Partner

About the role

The Human Resources Business Partner will act as a strategic advisor to business leaders, delivering end‑to‑end HR support across the employee lifecycle. Based in Toronto, this hybrid role blends on‑site collaboration with remote work to help drive workforce planning, employee relations, and organizational effectiveness.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with leaders to guide employee‑relations matters, including performance management, investigations, conflict resolution, and terminations.
• Support and execute core talent programs such as talent reviews, succession planning, performance management, and engagement initiatives.
• Lead organizational change initiatives, including restructures and workforce transitions, ensuring compliance with employment legislation.
• Provide coaching on employee‑relations grounded in Canadian employment law and best practices.
• Assist with communication and change‑management strategies to enable effective business transformation.
• Leverage data and insights to inform talent decisions and improve organizational effectiveness.
• Contribute to HR projects, process improvements, policy development, and employee communications.
• Collaborate with Talent Acquisition and business leaders to support recruitment processes.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an HR Business Partner or similar advisory role.
• Strong understanding of Canadian employment legislation and HR best practices.
• Excellent relationship‑building and coaching abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive change in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of Canadian employment law.
• Experience with HR data analysis and reporting.
• Proficiency in HR policies, procedures, and employee communications.
