Controller – Senior Finance Leader

About the role

Rodan Energy is seeking a senior finance leader to own the end‑to‑end accounting cycle for its distributed energy solutions business. Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Controller will ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance, and robust internal controls across all entities.

Key responsibilities

• Own the monthly, quarterly and annual close process, maintaining the integrity of the general ledger and sub‑ledgers.
• Prepare and review complex journal entries, accruals, inter‑company transactions and consolidated financial statements under ASPE.
• Lead day‑to‑day accounting operations including AP, AR, payroll, fixed assets, revenue recognition and cash management.
• Design, implement and maintain a strong internal control environment and ensure audit readiness.
• Manage compliance with Canadian and U.S. indirect tax, payroll tax and statutory filing requirements.
• Coordinate external audits, corporate tax filings and serve as the primary finance contact for auditors, lenders and other external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Senior finance professional with extensive experience in accounting, financial reporting and consolidation.
• Proven ability to lead month‑end close, manage complex journal entries and oversee multi‑entity accounting.
• Strong understanding of ASPE and cross‑border regulatory requirements.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, able to collaborate with operations, sales, HR and external advisors.
