Grants Project Manager – Remote (Canada)

About the role

As a Grants Project Manager, Canada at Climate Finance Solutions, you will own federal and provincial grant applications from kickoff to submission. You will lead multidisciplinary writing teams, manage complex timelines, and act as the strategic liaison between CFS and its clients, ensuring high‑quality, competitive proposals.

Key responsibilities

• Manage grant applications from client kickoff through submission, ensuring compliance with all requirements and deadlines.
• Develop project timelines, milestones, and decision points aligned with solicitation requirements, assigning tasks to team members.
• Serve as the primary point of contact between CFS and clients/partners, providing weekly status updates.
• Coordinate writers and technical experts across proposal teams, balancing expertise and capacity.
• Oversee compliance with Canadian federal grant regulations and program‑specific terms, managing submissions across federal and provincial platforms.
• Advise client teams on competitive positioning and partnership development to maximize funding outcomes.
• Facilitate cross‑functional collaboration between CFS staff and external partners throughout proposal development.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) and fluency in English.
• Minimum six years of grant project management or writing experience, including at least three years leading funded proposals.
• Strong scientific or technical knowledge relevant to climate solutions.
• Experience with Canadian federal and provincial climate‑focused agencies such as NRCan, SDTC, IRAP, SRF, ECCC, Alberta Innovates, Investissement Québec, and CleanBC.
• In‑depth knowledge of Canadian grant compliance, Treasury Board policies, and program‑specific terms.
• Proficiency with multiple grant submission platforms and standard project‑management tools.
• Excellent oral and written communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
