Assistant Superintendent

About the role

SKYGRiD is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to support the Project Superintendent on high‑rise construction projects. You will work on‑site, coordinating labour, subcontractors and ensuring the project meets design, budget, schedule, quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide administrative and technical support to the Superintendent on the construction site.
• Enforce company and project policies, ensuring compliance with design, budget and schedule.
• Assist in developing construction plans and managing subcontractor activities.
• Attend construction meetings with consultants and subcontractors.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, daily logs, health‑and‑safety reports, attendance records and site photos.
• Monitor MS Project schedules and report start/finish dates weekly.
• Supervise field engineering, concrete and rebar deliveries, and site labourers.
• Track subcontractor work on a Time‑and‑Materials basis and ensure budget adherence.
• Implement SKYGRiD’s Safety Program, hold weekly toolbox talks and liaise with city officials for permits and inspections.
• Report progress to stakeholders and step in for the Superintendent when absent.

Required profile

• Construction‑related university degree or equivalent technical training and experience.
• Experience supporting construction site supervision on multi‑storey projects.
• Strong understanding of construction documentation, safety regulations and budgeting.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Project scheduling software.
