Project Coordinator

About the role

Black & McDonald’s Southern Ontario FMO team is seeking a Project Coordinator to support construction and facilities management projects in the Greater Toronto Area. Reporting to Facility/Project Managers, you will help drive project performance, cost control and schedule adherence while maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute projects in line with corporate policy together with Facility/Project Managers.
• Assist in drafting project budgets and preliminary schedules.
• Monitor project status, costs, work hours and expenditures using scheduling and control tools.
• Schedule and oversee technicians and subcontractors for corrective maintenance and repairs.
• Track change notices, change orders and maintain contract execution logs.
• Conduct site inspections, work audits and ensure compliance with safety, environmental and quality standards.
• Prepare completion certificates, asset tagging and ensure proper project close‑out documentation.

• Accountable, continuous‑learning mindset and understanding of change‑management processes.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience using project scheduling and control tools.
• Ability to read and interpret basic specifications and drawing packages.
• Own vehicle with a full G driver’s licence.
