Alumni Engagement Coordinator

About the role

The Alumni Engagement Coordinator supports the delivery of alumni programs and services that foster lifelong connections between UBC students and alumni. Reporting to the Associate Director of Alumni Engagement, the role works closely with staff, volunteers, faculty, and external partners.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement alumni programs in consultation with Alumni Engagement Officers, Managers and Directors.
• Maintain registration systems, track budgets, and prepare briefing notes for senior leadership.
• Support the development and rollout of new initiatives aligned with UBC’s alumni strategic plan.
• Manage internal and external partnerships to deliver alumni activities, events and resources.
• Develop relationships with alumni, connect them to relevant departments or affinity groups, and coordinate volunteer recruitment, orientation and support.
• Perform database mining, track alumni interactions, and execute strategies within the alumni engagement framework.

Required profile

• Experience in program coordination or alumni engagement within a higher‑education environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively with staff, volunteers, faculty, students and external organizations.
• Strong organizational and communication skills to manage timelines, budgets and stakeholder expectations.
