Communications Coordinator – International Disaster Response

About the role

The Communications Coordinator supports World Renew’s International Disaster Response (IDR) program by creating professional visual and written content. This role works closely with the IDR team and the CORE communications department to deliver stories, case studies, infographics, videos and other materials for print, web and social media.

Key responsibilities

• Create written and visual content such as SitReps, infographics, beneficiary stories, case studies, presentations and video snippets for internal and external audiences.
• Develop and execute an annual communications plan aligned with IDR priorities and ensure project‑specific communication plans are implemented.
• Collaborate with the CORE communications team to maintain branding guidelines and keep IDR news updated on the website and social channels.
• Coordinate with network partners (CFGB, ACT Alliance, Integral Alliance) on IDR‑related communications and contribute to public‑relations materials.
• Participate in operational calls, team meetings and occasional travel to gather information and support reporting to funders and partners.

Required profile

• Demonstrated personal Christian faith and commitment to World Renew’s mission and values.
• At least a Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, English or a related field.
• Minimum two years of communications or journalism experience, preferably within a humanitarian NGO.
• Strong written and oral communication skills and ability to present data visually for diverse audiences.
• Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion and gender equality in the workplace.
