Communications Assistant & Study Recruiter (Part‑time)

About the role

The McGill Baby Lab is seeking a warm, organized Communications Assistant who will also act as a Study Recruiter. You will connect local families with research studies on infant speech and language development, while keeping the lab’s daily operations running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Design and run creative recruitment campaigns, including social‑media content, community outreach and in‑person events to invite parents and babies to participate in studies.
• Schedule testing sessions, follow‑ups and coordinate a team of student research assistants.
• Maintain study documentation, protocols and support day‑to‑day data management for the lab.

Required profile

• Fluency in English and French.
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and lead a team.
• Comfortable and engaging manner when interacting with parents and infants.
• Background in language acquisition or linguistics is an asset.
