Teaching Assistant – Computer Science (Fall 2026)

About the role

The School of Computer Science at McGill University is seeking teaching assistants for the Fall 2026 term. TAs will support a wide range of undergraduate and graduate courses, contributing to the learning experience of students across programming, algorithms, systems, and specialized topics.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate effectively and promptly with instructors and students.
• Maintain regular office and/or lab hours to assist students.
• Develop and maintain grading scripts for assignments and exams.
• Grade assignments and exams under instructor supervision.
• Monitor discussion boards and email communications.
• Prepare solution sets and supplementary materials for assignments.

Required profile

• Current enrollment or recent graduation in a relevant Computer Science program.
• Strong academic performance in the courses you will support.
• Ability to work independently and manage a 90‑hour workload per term.
