Course Lecturer – Technology Business Plan Design (Fall 2026)

About the role

The Faculty of Engineering Dean’s Office at McGill University is seeking a Course Lecturer for the Fall 2026 term to teach FACC 500 – Technology Business Plan Design. The position involves delivering a three‑credit course, scheduled on Mondays from 5:35 pm to 8:25 pm, in the Maass Chemistry Building (room 328). The role is not team‑taught and requires a strong background in engineering or business administration.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver weekly lectures for FACC 500, covering technology business plan design concepts.
• Prepare and update course materials, including presentations and case studies.
• Assess student performance through assignments, projects, and examinations.
• Maintain office hours and provide guidance to students on course content.

Required profile

• Minimum of a Master’s or Ph.D. in Engineering, or a Master’s/Ph.D. in Management or Business Administration combined with a Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering.
• Demonstrated experience as an entrepreneur, including founding or launching start‑up ventures.
• Membership in the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec.
• Authorization to work in Canada and willingness to work in Quebec.
• Proficiency in English communication, both verbal and written.
