Workshop Technician – Industrial Maintenance

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Workshop Technician to join Rotork’s Edmonton facility. In this hands‑on position you will maintain, repair and troubleshoot a range of mechanical and electrical equipment, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on mechanical and electrical workshop equipment.
• Diagnose equipment issues using analytical problem‑solving techniques and implement corrective actions promptly.
• Operate, calibrate, and test equipment to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with specifications.
• Maintain detailed maintenance records and documentation of repairs, performance, and testing results.
• Organize tools, parts inventory, and work areas to support efficiency, cleanliness, and safety.
• Follow safety protocols and collaborate with team members to prioritize work orders and meet deadlines.

Required profile

• Trade certificate or technical diploma, with experience working on live electrical equipment; formal electrical training preferred.
• 3‑5 years of experience in industrial maintenance, automation, or flow‑control environments.
• Ability to read and understand electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics.
• Experience with actuation, instrumentation, and valve systems (Rotork experience is an asset).
• Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Excellent organizational and time‑management skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team.
