About the role
We are seeking a detail‑oriented Workshop Technician to join Rotork’s Edmonton facility. In this hands‑on position you will maintain, repair and troubleshoot a range of mechanical and electrical equipment, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with safety and quality standards.
Key responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on mechanical and electrical workshop equipment.
- Diagnose equipment issues using analytical problem‑solving techniques and implement corrective actions promptly.
- Operate, calibrate, and test equipment to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with specifications.
- Maintain detailed maintenance records and documentation of repairs, performance, and testing results.
- Organize tools, parts inventory, and work areas to support efficiency, cleanliness, and safety.
- Follow safety protocols and collaborate with team members to prioritize work orders and meet deadlines.
Required profile
- Trade certificate or technical diploma, with experience working on live electrical equipment; formal electrical training preferred.
- 3‑5 years of experience in industrial maintenance, automation, or flow‑control environments.
- Ability to read and understand electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics.
- Experience with actuation, instrumentation, and valve systems (Rotork experience is an asset).
- Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Excellent organizational and time‑management skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Actuation and instrumentation knowledge
- Valve maintenance, especially Rotork valves
- Hand tools and power‑tool operation
- Diagnostic equipment usage
- Microsoft Office proficiency
