Factory Automation Engineering Intern

About the role

We are looking for a Factory Automation Engineering Intern to join Bosch Rexroth’s Electrical Drives & Controls team in Burlington. The intern will support the development and delivery of automation solutions for a wide range of customers, gaining hands‑on experience with industrial drive and control technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse customer applications and propose optimized drive and control solutions.
• Support the sales process through field visits, technical presentations and customer contacts.
• Design detailed system architectures, select components and perform performance calculations to meet specifications.
• Assist in contract negotiations by clarifying scope, performance requirements and deliverables.
• Prepare technical quotations, system specifications and supporting documentation.

Required profile

• Strong technical interest in factory automation, electrical drives and control systems.
• Ability to understand complex customer requirements and translate them into engineering solutions.
• Effective communication skills for presenting technical information to customers.

Required skills

• Knowledge of electrical drives.
• Understanding of control system principles.
