About the role
Air Canada is seeking a Training Manager for Flight Operations to support the daily execution of flight training programs across multiple fleets. Reporting to the Chief Flight Instructor, you will ensure training standards are met and contribute to continuous improvement of instructional content.
Key responsibilities
- Support planning and tracking of Flight Instructors, Full Flight Simulator Instructors, Initial Operating Training Captains, and Ground School Instructors.
- Schedule and execute annual assessments of Flight Operations Instructors in line with the Advanced Qualification Program.
- Maintain accurate records to satisfy Canadian Aviation Regulations and IOSA standards.
- Update fleet type training programs with new policies, procedures, and system changes.
- Collaborate with the training department to standardize training across fleet types.
- Monitor fleet training manpower availability and scheduling needs.
- Track and manage all training events, ensuring timely completion and documentation.
- Prepare and update training event scripts and related documentation.
- Assist in maintaining simulator certification and serviceability.
Required profile
- University or college diploma in an aviation‑related field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 3 + years experience in a similar flight operations or training role.
- Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) with at least 3 years experience; familiarity with CARS 704/705 is an asset.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
