Senior Project Manager – AML Transformation & Enterprise Delivery

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead end‑to‑end delivery of large‑scale AML transformation initiatives within a major Canadian bank. The role is hybrid, based in Toronto, and runs as a contract through October 2026 with strong extension potential.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end delivery of large‑scale enterprise projects across business, operations, and technology teams.
• Own project planning, execution, governance, financial tracking, risk management, and delivery outcomes.
• Drive strategic AML‑focused initiatives within a complex banking environment.
• Partner closely with program and portfolio managers while managing multiple stakeholders at various seniority levels.
• Facilitate steering committees, governance meetings, executive updates, and project briefings.
• Build and manage integrated project plans, resource plans, contingency plans, and key PM artifacts.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned to business objectives.
• Coordinate across business, operational, vendor, and IT teams throughout the full project lifecycle.
• Oversee project controls, reporting, escalation management, and delivery quality standards.
• Contribute to PMO best practices and help drive execution excellence across the enterprise.

Required profile

• 8+ years of senior project management experience within a major banking institution (Big 5 preferred).
• Strong AML project experience within financial services.
• Proven experience managing complex enterprise programs using waterfall delivery methodologies.
• Strong financial management and forecasting capabilities.
• Comfortable working within program/portfolio structures and managing competing priorities.
• Ability to work independently, make decisions autonomously, and escalate appropriately.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including executive‑level interaction.
