Pharmacy Assistant – Part‑time

About the role

Join a locally owned pharmacy to provide health, beauty and convenience services to your community. As a Pharmacy Assistant you will support the pharmacist in delivering safe, timely prescription services while ensuring a pleasant customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers, collect prescription information and manage cash register transactions.
• Receive new and repeat prescriptions, prepare orders (excluding controlled substances), and process refill requests.
• Assist in counting, measuring, packaging, labeling, and entering prescription data into pharmacy systems.
• Refer clinical questions and counseling needs to the pharmacist.
• Handle third‑party billing, online accounts, and incoming faxes according to pharmacy standards.
• Maintain confidentiality, privacy and accurate filing of documentation.

Required profile

• High school diploma; pharmacy assistant certification preferred.
• Previous experience in a pharmacy or retail environment is an asset.
• Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and solve problems efficiently.

Required skills

• Prescription preparation and labeling.
