About the role
Join the West Moberly First Nations community as an Events Coordinator and help bring cultural, artistic, and community initiatives to life. You will work closely with internal teams and external partners to design and deliver events that foster dialogue, learning, and celebration.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the planning and execution of internal and external events from concept through completion.
- Collaborate with staff, department leads, committees, and external stakeholders to support member, leadership circle, and off‑site festival events.
- Manage all event logistics, including grant writing, permits, licensing, catering, floorplans, signage, programming, digital content, and cultural deliverables.
- Provide hands‑on set‑up, tear‑down, and A/V troubleshooting as needed.
- Evaluate events and festivals to drive continuous improvement and inform future grant applications.
- Oversee facility rental processes, coordinate venue bookings, and handle payments with finance.
Required profile
- Strong organizational and project‑management abilities.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with diverse community members.
- Experience in event coordination, grant writing, or cultural programming.
- Ability to work onsite in the Moberly Lake area and travel as required.
