Construction Project Manager – Calgary

About the role

We are seeking a full‑time, on‑site Construction Project Manager for BUILD IT in Calgary. The manager will oversee execution and management of construction projects, ensuring budgets are controlled, safety standards are met, and project control activities run efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and oversee construction projects to meet scope, schedule, and client specifications.
• Monitor and manage project budgets with accurate cost reporting.
• Lead and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams.
• Implement and enforce workplace safety protocols.
• Inspect sites to ensure high‑quality standards and client expectations.
• Maintain strong client relationships with timely updates.
• Identify risks early and implement mitigation solutions.
• Secure required permits and ensure compliance with local codes.
• Use Procore to track and log project data, reports, RFIs, and approvals.
• Train coordination teams, contribute to KPI development, and support organizational efficiency.

Required profile

• 5‑7 years supervisory experience in project control, scheduling, budgeting, and invoicing within commercial construction (restaurant, hospitality, retail).
• Post‑secondary education in Project Management, Construction Management, or related field (preferred).
• Strong understanding of construction financials, cost management, and safety regulations.
• Experience leading diverse teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Knowledge of local building codes, permitting processes, and compliance requirements.
• Comfort with regular on‑site visits and standard construction‑site PPE.
