Associate Editor - Medical Communications

About the role

The Associate Editor will work alongside senior editors to deliver high‑quality editing and proofreading of scientific and medical content. This entry‑level position supports the creation of manuscripts, abstracts, posters, slides and digital materials while ensuring scientific integrity and compliance with Prime’s SOPs.

Key responsibilities

• Review, edit and proofread a variety of content outputs for grammar, spelling, consistency and clarity.
• Verify data, references and ensure alignment with house, client and journal style guides.
• Proof typeset copy, checking layout elements such as figures, tables, colors, resolution and overall accuracy.
• Liaise with the studio team to implement necessary amendments.
• Apply digital markup tools, tracked changes and commenting to provide clear editorial feedback.
• Support project submissions and ensure the team follows abstract, poster and manuscript requirements.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of editorial processes.

Required profile

• Strong command of English grammar, punctuation and scientific terminology.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Proactive communication and collaboration skills with internal teams.
• Willingness to learn and develop editorial expertise under senior guidance.

Required skills

• Editing and proofreading of scientific/medical documents.

• Use of digital markup tools (e.g., Microsoft Word track changes, commenting).
• Basic reference verification and data checking.
