About the role
Hyundai Capital Canada is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead the financial accounting and accounts receivable functions. The role involves supervising daily activities, guiding staff development, and supporting the month‑end close and audit processes.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee month‑end close, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Review debt entries from the Treasury Management System and manage subvention revenue recognition.
- Own subvention intercompany billing, maintain trackers, validate incentive calculations, and coordinate with the Sales Planning team.
- Assist in system conversions, enhancements, and upgrades, ensuring proper testing and implementation.
- Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies and procedures.
- Mentor and cross‑train staff, fostering continuous process improvement.
- Perform additional duties such as completeness and accuracy checks throughout the subvention process.
Required profile
- Strong supervisory experience in financial accounting and accounts receivable.
- Demonstrated ability to lead month‑end close activities and manage audit requirements.
- Experience coordinating intercompany billing and revenue recognition processes.
- Proven track record of implementing system enhancements and process improvements.
- Excellent communication and mentorship skills to develop internal staff.
