About the role
The Helping House is seeking a Wholistic Wellness Nurse (RPN) to join its interdisciplinary Primary Care Team serving the Tsleil‑Waututh Nation. The role focuses on mental, emotional and spiritual wellness across the lifespan, using trauma‑informed and culturally safe practices.
Key responsibilities
- Provide client- and family-centered nursing care within an interdisciplinary, team-based model.
- Promote culturally safe, therapeutic environments that support self-advocacy and self-determination.
- Collaborate with Elders, Knowledge Keepers and other health teams to integrate spiritual, emotional, physical and mental aspects of well‑being.
- Assess functional status, support networks and coordinate care plans, advocating for additional resources as needed.
- Deliver immediate crisis support and ongoing case coordination for individuals navigating trauma, addiction or mental health challenges.
- Participate in program delivery, community engagement and health promotion activities.
Required profile
- Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) credential.
- Demonstrated cultural humility and experience working with Indigenous communities.
- Strong understanding of trauma‑informed, relationship‑centered care.
- Ability to build trustful relationships with clients, families and interdisciplinary partners.

- Competitive salary range $78,577 – $108,045 CAD annually.
- Full-time permanent position (35 hours/week).
