About the role
The Student Wellness Hub at McGill University seeks a Wellness Advisor and Training Developer to support student well‑being across campus. Reporting to the Associate Director of Wellness, the role blends direct student outreach with the design and delivery of health‑promotion programs.
Key responsibilities
- Act as liaison between faculties, student services, and the Student Wellness Hub.
- Identify health‑promotion and training needs for faculty and students.
- Deliver wellness workshops, support groups, and training sessions for students, faculty, and staff.
- Conduct initial mental‑health screenings, assess needs, and trigger crisis‑management protocols when required.
- Make appropriate referrals to campus and community support services.
- Maintain up‑to‑date information on available student services and resources.
Required profile
- Strong technical writing and program‑development abilities.
- Solid project‑management skills.
- Experience delivering workshops or training in a health‑promotion context.
- Knowledge of mental‑health assessment and early‑intervention practices.
- Ability to collaborate with faculty, staff, and student groups.
