About the role
We are seeking a Graduate Research Assistant to support a MITACS‑funded project on access to health care for uninsured migrants in Quebec and Ontario. The role involves qualitative research, literature synthesis, and the development of advocacy tools, working under the supervision of a professor.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct semi‑structured interviews with service providers and migrant parents across Quebec and Ontario.
- Perform systematic literature reviews on health‑ and social‑service access and effective policy‑advocacy strategies.
- Assist in drafting academic articles and preparing conference presentations.
- Develop a practical toolkit to support migrant advocacy efforts.
- Plan and deliver reports to diverse stakeholder groups.
- Undertake additional research tasks as the project evolves.
Required profile
- Enrolled in or recently completed a graduate program relevant to health, social sciences, or public policy.
- Strong interest in health equity and community advocacy.
- Ability to conduct interviews in French and/or English.
- Excellent written communication for academic dissemination.
Required skills
What we offer
- Hourly compensation of $35.50 CAD.
- Part‑time schedule (15 hours per week) for a fixed‑term period (June – September 2026).
