Warehouse Picker & Retail Assistant

About the role

Western Varieties Wholesale is seeking a reliable Warehouse Picker and Retail Assistant to support both its 20,000 sq ft warehouse and in‑store operations. You will ensure orders are accurately picked and packed, while also delivering top‑tier customer service on the sales floor.

Key responsibilities

• Accurately pick and count order items, pack shipments, and replenish retail stock.
• Receive deliveries, communicate with team members, and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
• Assist customers, operate the point‑of‑sale (POS) system, and manage cash drawer accuracy.
• Keep the sales floor tidy, well‑stocked, and restock items from the warehouse as needed.
• Perform additional tasks in both warehouse and retail areas as required.

Required profile

• Picker and/or Stacker certification (preferred).
• Previous retail experience.
• Ability to stand for long periods and work a flexible schedule, including Saturdays.
• Class 5 driver’s licence.
• Consistent punctuality, dependability, and strong communication skills.

• Microsoft Excel
• Sage 50 (preferred)
• POS system operation
