Truck Dispatcher

About the role

The Truck Dispatcher coordinates the movement of trucks, ensuring timely deliveries and safe operations. You will serve as the communication hub between drivers, customers, and internal teams, handling both routine and emergency situations.

Key responsibilities

• Dispatch vehicle operators according to schedules, work orders, and real‑time traffic conditions.
• Maintain accurate time sheets, payroll summaries, mileage, fuel usage, repairs, and other expense records.
• Operate radio and other communications equipment to relay information and respond to urgent calls.
• Provide customer service, advise drivers of traffic problems, and follow up on work‑order issues.
• Keep detailed work logs, shipment tracking, and equipment maintenance records.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation (high school diploma) or equivalent.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, physically demanding environment.
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and teamwork orientation.
• Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and on‑call shifts.
