Vice President of Operations

About the role

Our client, a leading industrial distribution and manufacturing organization, is seeking a Vice President of Operations to shape and scale its operating infrastructure. The executive will drive sustainable growth, improve profitability, and deliver superior customer performance through modern digital tools and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Define and refine governance models, operational workflows, and capacity planning to support future growth.
• Lead Lean and process‑optimization initiatives across all business units, using operational KPIs and technology tools.
• Oversee end‑to‑end operations including warehousing, distribution, procurement, inventory, manufacturing, logistics, and facilities management.
• Drive transformation programs and support M&A integration to boost productivity and customer satisfaction.
• Build leadership depth, succession plans, and a culture of safety, accountability, and regulatory compliance.

Required profile

• 15+ years of progressive operational leadership experience in industrial distribution or manufacturing.
• Proven track record of scaling operations, executing transformation programs, and leading multi‑functional teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• Strong financial and commercial discipline with data‑driven decision‑making ability.
• Excellent executive communication and change‑management skills.
