Men's Garment Alterations Tailor

About the role

We are seeking an experienced tailor to join our boutique in North Vancouver, specializing in alterations and repairs for men's garments. The role involves working directly with clients to ensure a perfect fit and high‑quality finish.

Key responsibilities

• Fit, alter, and repair a variety of men’s clothing items.
• Operate industrial sewing machines and perform hand‑sewing as needed.
• Handle a wide range of fabrics including cotton, synthetic blends, nylon, polyester, satin, silk, leather, velvet and pile.
• Perform alterations, restyling, and custom tailoring to meet client specifications.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of professional tailoring or garment‑alteration experience.
• Excellent manual dexterity, attention to detail, and hand‑eye coordination.
• Ability to distinguish colours accurately.
• Physical capability to sit, stand, walk, bend, crouch and kneel for extended periods.

Required skills

• Proficient operation of sewing machines.
• Skilled in hand‑sewing techniques.
• In‑depth knowledge of diverse fabrics (cotton, synthetic, nylon, polyester, satin, silk, leather, velvet, pile).
