Vice President of Finance & Accounting

About the role

Rewind is seeking a senior finance leader to own and evolve the full finance function, covering accounting, financial planning and controller responsibilities. The role blends strategic oversight with hands‑on execution, partnering closely with the CEO and CRO to drive financial clarity as the company scales.

Key responsibilities

• Lead company‑wide financial planning, forecasting, SaaS metric tracking and performance reporting.
• Oversee month‑end close, P&L, balance sheet and cash‑flow reporting while stepping into hands‑on accounting tasks as needed.
• Manage core accounting operations including AP/AR, payroll, treasury, equity administration and compliance.
• Drive internal controls, vendor relationships, banking, insurance and external audit processes.
• Mentor and develop the finance and accounting team, fostering a culture of ownership and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• CPA designation (or equivalent) with 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience in a venture‑backed SaaS environment.
• Proven ability to build, improve and scale financial processes, systems and reporting while delivering clear insights to executives and investors.
• Comfortable acting as a hands‑on leader, including payroll processing, month‑end close and ad‑hoc analysis.
• Strong communication skills to translate complex financial data into actionable recommendations.
