Cost Control Coordinator

About the role

ACCIONA is seeking a Cost Control Coordinator to manage and analyse project costs for its large infrastructure programmes in Canada. The role supports strategic decision‑making by monitoring financial data, preparing reports and ensuring cost efficiency across construction projects.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse project costs, identify trends and perform variance analysis between planned and actual expenses.
• Assist in developing and managing project forecasts and budgets, reporting on performance.
• Prepare detailed cost structure reports, maintain accurate cost records and ensure data integrity.
• Track and record all project expenses, ensuring proper allocation according to company policies.
• Support compliance with financial regulations, participate in internal and external audits.
• Collaborate with project managers, finance teams and other stakeholders to ensure accurate cost tracking.
• Identify and implement process improvements for cost analysis and reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field; progression toward CPA is an asset.
• Minimum five years of experience as a Cost Analyst, Financial Analyst or similar role.
• Experience in project management or construction environments is a plus.
• Strong analytical, numerical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication, presentation and organizational skills.
• High ethical standards and ability to work under tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency with financial software and MS Office suite.
